Starting from today, you can call me Dag Wiiers
Yes, resistance was futile. When everybody in my team at work had one, I could not be left behind.
So I bought myself a Wii. Plenty of Wii's still in the stores in Belgium, but it seems that most of the Wii-motes and Wii nunchucks are out of stock.
Playing with a Wii for the first time is very different. I would not be surprised if people in 20 years time still remember the first time they played a Wii (and against whom and if they won). It's those little facts of life that people cherish :-)
Anyway, boxing really is exhaustive and I am going to commit myself to work out for (at least) 30mins every day to see if it makes a difference.
After hearing about some great games at work (yes, work!) I bought 2 extra games (besides Wii Sports), namely Wii Play and Mario Party 8. I like Tanks, Laser Hockey, Find Mii and Shooting Range on Wii Play most. On Wii Sports I prefer Boxing and Tennis. On Mario Party 8 the interface is so annoying that we didn't play any game (yet). I need someone from work tell me how to disable the fluff and just select a game.
I am also interested in buying a first-person-shoot game (that can be played with at least 2 persons) and a game that can be played with more than one Wii (so maybe up to 8 people at the same time). Not sure if that exists (but I read about the possibility).
So if the RPM packaging seems slow, or I have become even more slow in answering mail, just remember that I am enjoying myself for once. See you in 2009 !! ;-)
